Season 5 has a UK air date of Monday 10th April, with episodes premiering on FOX UK at 9pm every week. The all-new episodes, though, will premiere on FOX UK. Season 1 and 2 aired on Five on British screens, until Sky 1 snapped up the rights before Season 3. Miller and Purcell will be joined by returning stars Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstein. Over 10 years after it first premiered, Season 5 of Prison Break will bring together Michael and Lincoln once again, with the brothers lining up their biggest escape yet – not just from a prison, but from a entire country. The original producing team, including Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead, will return to executive-produce the limited series revival, with Scheuring serving as showrunner/writer.įor those who haven’t seen it, the original drama centred on Michael (Miller), a young man determined to save his convicted brother, Lincoln (Purcell), from death row by hatching an elaborate plan to break him into prison – and then escape from it. The programme run from 2005 to 2009, before ending after for four seasons – and so, in 2017, like most popular shows that finished years ago, Prison Break is coming back to our TV screens in 2017.

Paul Scheuring’s show, which starred Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, was one of Fox’s most popular series ever, standing alongside 24 as one of the original binge-watching thrillers, long before TV’s golden age of Netflix and BBC iPlayer.

Like Ed Sheeran or Breaking Bad, whether they’re a fan or not, everyone’s heard of Prison Break.
